As we step into the year 2025, we mark another very special milestone: Laško beer is celebrating its 200th anniversary!
A magnificent 200 years have passed since the legendary year of 1825, when Franz Geyer established the first brewery in Laško, brewing »stone beer« and becoming a pioneer of brewing in Slovenia. From that moment to this day, Laško beer has become a symbol of Slovenian heritage. We are proud to be one of Slovenia’s oldest brands, still thriving and immensely popular among Slovenians. This is thanks to you, our legendary fans of Laško, because without you, our legendary beer wouldn’t exist. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
We will enter our third century with a celebration worthy of Laško: legendary! True to Slovenian tradition, we’ll honor Zlatorog by raising maypoles – and we invite you and your crew to join us in this tradition. You know how it is: when we come together, we can achieve truly legendary things.
Our celebration will culminate at the Pivo in Cvetje Festival in Laško, where we’ll all come together to mark this grand anniversary. Stay tuned so you don’t miss our unique celebration.
